| This section was originally going to be designed for newbies, but I think I've included some content that vets may find useful. For the most part, the Basics is a revised, refined, updated, and clarified version of the Guide.
| This page is devoted to a fairly conservative, but still effective basic starting strat for newbies and gives a general idea of how strategy shifts as the game progresses and your resources grow. |
| Covers the details of the Allies screen and some general ideas about how alliances work, plus suggestions on how to start an alliance or find an existing alliance to join.
| Outlines the purposes of the various buildings, explains the usefulness (or worthlessness) of each, and offers suggestions on choosing your buildings. I've also included known formulas in the description of each building. |
| The Military page covers the military aspects of three different screens: everything in Warfare but spells, the military equipment produced in the Build screen, and troops acquired in the Hire screen. |
| The information provided in Races consists mostly of fairly rough decriptions of each race's strength and weaknesses.
| A fairly detailed summary of the various topics available for research, including effects of each subject, rates of study, and maximum percentages. |
| Spells includes a comprehensive list of spells and a rough description of their effects. Consult the spell table for a complete list of spells, their spellbook levels, and orb costs. |
| A basic guide to Forgotten World Chat, including commands, color advice, netiquette, and a brief explanation of why I would strongly advise all players to chat. |
| A short guide to the FW Classic forums, including ubb code, signature advice, and a description of the different boards. |
| At the moment, my FW Glossary is fairly short, but I plan on compiling as thorough a lexicon as I can of FW terms and general lingo applicable to the game.
