Cathedrals.

collos

Colosseums.

const

Construction.

econ

Economy.

ent

Entertainment.

feeding

Sending large amounts of trade to another kingdom, usually a multi. Heavily fed accounts are typically aggressive attackers. The decrease in the maximum trade of 10% of any asset to 0.5% will greatly limit the effectiveness of feeding unless the recipient is very far below the feeder in score.

k

One thousand, e.g. 10k castles = 10,000 castles.

loc

FW lingo for location, esp. among longtime players. See location.

location

Locations are required for any form of interaction between players: all warfare options, inviting a player to join your alliance, sending trades, and sending private mail (you can also send mail to players from whom you have saved mail). You can see your locs in all screens where they are required. You acquire locs by searching for other players, being attacked, or receiving them in trades. Any trade automatically includes the sender's loc. Locs are lost in the event of an amnesia spell, either cast by another player or random. There is also a longtime bug that causes the loss of locs during the sorting process, starting with locs of players whose names are highest alphabetically.

M

One million, e.g. 50M gold = 50,000,000 gold.

maint

Maintenance.

map

Another term for location; used more commonly among primarily html players. See location.

multi

A multi is a player with more than one kingdom, or an individual kingdom run by such a player. The User Policies page states that a player may have one and only one kingdom. This is incorrect and never was enforced. FW host and current developer pathfinder has altered the policy to allow a maximum of 4 kingdoms per player. This number could possibly be increased in the event more new races are added. Each account requires a different email address. If you don't have 4 email addys, I recommend email.com, which offers free email forwarding, or hotmail.

newbie

Like vet, newbie has as many definitions as there are newbies. Some vets consider anyone who hasn't played as long as them a newbie.

random

A random refers to a random event, which takes the form of a spell, except for the newer "barbarians." I've compiled a list of randoms and their accompanying message in news, though the actual effects of the specific spell are slight, e.g. a random fire will destroy several buildings, but nowhere near the scale of an actual Fire spell. These messages vary from those of obscured spells for the most part, so the message will generally tell you if a spell is hostile or a random if you're unsure. The primary affect of most randoms is dropping morale to 1%, which can be devastating to a kingdom that has trouble supporting itself under normal conditions. All randoms are instant and cannot be dispelled.

turns

All warfare options, studying, building (but not destroying buildings), searching, and sending trades requires one turn. Two turns are awarded each hour, on the hour, whether or not you are logged in, unless the server is down. If you allow 100 unused turns to accumulate, you will no longer receive turns until you use turns, bringing the total back below 100. Your score will be shown in rankings as 0 until you've used 70 turns. New player protection ends after you've used 101 turns. If you've used a number of turns and find everything you've done has been undone, it's because the server was reset, which unfortunately causes your kingdom to be set back to its status as of the previous hour.

vet

Everyone has their own definition of vet, usually indication anyone who's played at least as long as they have. Generally, anyone who started playing before the advent of html can legitimately call themselves a vet, and definitely anyone who started in the Def-Con days, before pathfinder began hosting FW.

weaps

Weapons.

wms

Warmachines.
